The right pair of socks is key to keeping your feet warm. Ski socks are generally light weight and made from a blend of wool, nylon and elastic. The best choice is an "over the calve" length so they don't slip down into your boot - plus they keep your calves warm.
Wearing the correct size boot is a very effective way of keeping your feet warm. If your boots are too big, you'll have to keep tightening them to keep your heels from lifting. This causes pressure points over the arch of your foot and cuts off the circulation. Poor circulation ultimately means cold feet.
One of the most important things is to start your day with warm feet. Never leave your ski boots in the trunk of your car overnight or while you're on the way to the slopes. It can take hours to warm up your feet after you slide them into frosty ski boots. After a hard day of skiing, remove the liner from your boots and let them dry overnight.
Do what the pros do - keep your feet warm and dry.
Share the excitement - play in the snow!
